National Young Leaders Day
Yesterday 30 of our senior students visited Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua to attend the Wellington National Young Leaders Day event.
Our students were inspired by speakers such as Billy Graham, James Beck, Bylee Mills, Marina Alefosio (a spoken word poet). These people shared stories of leadership from their own lives and we also enjoyed music from Avalanche City.
It was a great day!

EWWWW... Fish!!!
This term our inquiry has been focusing on breathing and how animals and humans breathe underwater and on land.
Yesterday afternoon Room 23 and Room 24 used our new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) room to look at fish and how gills work to help them breathe under water. We had to slice the fishes belly and look at all the organs; liver and the heart... IT WAS REALLY BLOODY!!!
First... Tim went fishing!!
....But we took pity on the poor spotties and used fish from the fish shop instead!!
