Sculpture Workshop - Anna Dixon

The Art Ambassadors and a group of our keen artists were fortunate today to have the opportunity to work with Anna Dixon (from Office Max) creating sculptures using wire, plaster bandage and quite a bit of care & patience!

Here are some photos of them in action!  Their next step is to paint these.

A huge thanks to both Anna Dixon & Lisa Allen who organised this opportunity!

Our Garden Gets Going!!

The Senior School is very lucky to have the wonderful Kris Birchall-Harrison working with us in our garden this year.

Today we concentrated on the foundation of any good garden - the soil. We started to layer compost, alternating layers of green waste that supply nitrogen (like food scraps) and layers of dry leaves and cardboard as sources of carbon.

We planted lots of beetroot, broccoli and cauliflower seeds to be the beginning of our winter crop.

Here we have some keen artists painting rocks to add some more colour and interest to the garden.

Milkshake Madness!

Today Sam McRobbie (assisted by Tom Griffiths) churned out milkshakes like there was no tomorrow for our thirsty Senior team at lunchtime!

Sam was very keen to run a trial in the Senior School for what may become a school wide fundraiser and it certainly appears from the queues to have been a HUGE success!

Well done Sam!

Keep and eye out - Sam's milkshakes could well be coming to a venue near you soon...
