Term 2 Week 9

Wow! It's hard to believe we have nearly reached the end of Term 2 - half of the year has gone! Only a few more days until a well-deserved break is here. Below is what has been happening in the Senior School over the past two weeks.

Science Fair

All science projects are now completed and are currently on display in Room 21. The teachers have been absolutely blown away with the work that has been created and the level of understanding the children can articulate when discussing the process of their science investigation. Although the final products are AMAZING it is important to think about the 8 weeks journey the students have been on. Below is a sneak peek of some of the topics on show. If you'd like to learn, come and check them out in Room 21 over the next week.

HRSA Football Tournament

Last Tuesday Mr Ranchod took of squad of players to the annual HRSA Football tournament at Hoikoikoi Reserve. A fantastic day was had by all. Congratulations to the girls team that were champions this year!

Kapa Haka

Our Year 5-8 Kapa Haka group have been working incredibly hard with Mr Chadwick and Mrs Hooke over the past two terms in preparation for the Hutt Polyfest this Wednesday. This is the first time Muritai has entered. It is a great opportunity to be a part of such a fantastic event.

Last week the group traveled to Randwick School so the two schools could share their performances with each other. Our group also performed to the school in assembly last week. I'm sure you'll agree they are sounding FANTASTIC! Best of luck for Wednesday night!

Technicraft

The end of the term brings to the end another technicraft rotation. Our fabric and woodwork groups have been extremely efficient this cycle and have managed to complete two projects in 6 sessions!
